What is a Double Elimination Tournament?
In a Double Elimination format, teams are not eliminated after their first loss. Instead:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
1st Loss → Drop to the Lower Bracket
-
2nd Loss → Eliminated from the Tournament
-
-
-
-
-
-
This format creates two brackets:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Upper Bracket: For teams that haven't lost yet.
-
Lower Bracket: For teams that lost once and are fighting to stay alive.
-
-
-
-
-
-
Both brackets continue until the Grand Finals, where the Upper Bracket Winner faces the Lower Bracket Winner.
