Season 7 is only 2 Weeks Away!! Before then, all teams on the ladder are going to be set to inactive (exact date and time TBD). Once this happens, you will need to go back and set your team to active in order to receive matches in Week 1. We will send out multiple reminders prior to the start of the season, but we reliably see a ~10% increase in total teams between Weeks 1 and 2 as a result of teams failing to set themselves active.

The season is 7 weeks of regular matches split into 3 cycles and 3-4 weeks of post-season tournaments to determine the regional Champions. Every week during the regular season, on the ladder teams will get assigned 2 opponent and schedule to play 2 matches within that week. An extra challenge match may be played with a team within your skill-level. New teams will not have a visible MMR score. They will need to play 3 matches to be placed on the ladder and perhaps a 4th or 5th to determine the color of their star. More information about the ranking system and the divisions can be found in the Rules and in Discord.
The NA region will have a Master Tier consisting of 10 teams. A Qualifier will be played on January 22nd and Challenger Cups will be played at the end of each cycle. Top Diamond and lower Master teams will get a chance to secure their spot in each cycle's Master Tier and the seasonal finals.
The EU and OCE regions will have a Master division proportional to the number of teams participating and a post-season Championship. Compete in the ladder and climb to the top to qualify!
"Roster Lock" is the 17th of April. After this date, no roster changes may be made or the team will risk their qualification in the post-season tournaments.
Post-season starts May 6th with the Open Qualifiers. More information about these events and prize pool will be made available soon! The North American Grand Finals will be played at VRML CON 2023, in person in Denver, Colorado!
A team may sign up at anytime during the season before the Roster Lock. Some restrictions may apply regarding the qualification of teams for the post-season events.
Master Tier Team Registration
Teams that would like to participate had until to finalize their rosters and set their teams to "Active" on the VRML website. Changes after this date & time = Team no longer eligible.

If you believe your team might be eligible for the Master Tier Qualifier, please fill out the above form. If you're near the line and not sure, go ahead and fill it out. Once registration closes, we will recalc where necessary and then organize the teams in order of MMR. The top 16 (not including the 2 auto-qualifying) teams will be invited to participate in the Master Tier Qualifier.
Once all teams have been confirmed, the mods will release the team list publicly.
Master Tier Qualifier Schedule
- The tournament will be played on a single day over 5 rounds.
- Each round will be 45 minutes long (just under 4 hours)
- Teams in each round will play simultaneously.
- https://www.twitch.tv/VRMasterLeague will be live, + up to 2 more channels, pending availability.
Master Tier Qualifier Format
This modified-swiss tournament is designed to start with 16 teams and declare 8 winners. Teams compete until they have either Won 3 games or Lost 3 games, whichever happens first. Once again the Top 2 Returning Teams from the end of Season 6 will be Auto-Qualified for Master Tier to start Season 7.

Talking about Season 7 corrections and badges/tags... here is the design! We have received questions recently about the community being able to help design and give out ideas. To answer this, yes of course anyone can share their ideas and designs. We will look at options for community involvement in an easier way, but for now please share the ideas via a ticket in the VRML Support Server.

5. Is your team set to "Active"? Make sure your team is activated prior to Monday, January 23rd to get matches. The admins may put all teams as "inactive" this week to make sure there are no false starts when matches are generated.
