Keep your eyes peeled on December 9th and December 10th as the very best teams in Onward will fight in a grand championship!
The grand prizes for the winning team are:
- Each participating finalist players will get a personalized ProTubeVR! (Offered by ProTubeVR)
- Each team member (subs included) will get a set of waterproof covers & cotton covers for Vive users and facial interfaces & red and blue foam replacements for Rift users! (Offered by VR Cover)
- Official Onward t-shirts! (Offered by Downpour Interactive)
The participating teams will consist of:
- The top 7 teams Worldwide
- The winner of the Wildcard Tournament
Format Details
Stage 1 - Wildcard tournament - Sunday December 3rd - 16:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC
All teams registered in the wildcard tournament will get a maximum total of 5 matches against other teams in a Swiss-system tournament. The first set of matches will be determined randomly. Each match will consist of 1 map which will be pre-selected. The home/away will be determined randomly.
At the end, all teams will be ranked by number of wins (& ties) then by Buchholz then by points then by +/- points. The best team will be granted a spot for Stage 2.
First-stage: Wildcard Tournament : Swiss (Challonge)
Stage 2 - Round-robin - Saturday December 9th - 16:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC
8 teams will be split in 2 groups. Each team will play the other 3 teams in the respective group in a round-robin format. Each match will consist of 2 maps. The home/away will be determined randomly and reversed for the second map.
At the end, all teams will be ranked by number of map-wins then by +/- points then by total points. The top 4 teams (2 from each group) will be granted a spot for Stage 3.

Stage 3 - Semifinals & Final - Sunday December 10th - 16:00 UTC and around 19:00 UTC
4 teams will be split in 2 groups. The teams will play 3 maps in a single-elimination - regular league style - 'Best of 3' format.
At the end, each winner will move on to the Final.
