L.R.R.P. , or Lurp, is a military acronym which stands for "Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol". In the past units have been stood up that specialize in the grueling task of carrying their body weight in kit for miles through unforgiving terrain. The conflict in Vietnam is where our particular insignia comes from, specifically the 5th Infantry Divisions L.R.R.P unit.
The teams name servers as a namesake for our captains', shotgunpreacher, father. Who was a member of one of these highly specialized units.
